“Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” ― William Shakespeare,
There are many reasons why a person may doubt themselves or others. Doubt is an experience common to everyone through out life, we may doubt ourselves because of our insecurities, harsh criticisms from family and friends or constant rejection from our peers at work. We doubt of others may result from being tricked or lied to one too many times.
Regardless of the circumstances causing you to feel this way, you must understand that the doubt living within you only causes you to become stagnated. If you have presumptions that others are doubting you, then get rid of them from your life and stop letting their negativity ruin your peace of mind. Believe it or not, you, my friend, have complete control over your thoughts and where they lead you.
To doubt is to be human but to wallow in it is unwise. “He who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind” James 1:6.
In the midst of doubt everything feels up for grabs. It can feel like we don’t know how we’re going to manage, and we can’t see how we could ever find a way out. In our quest to not let doubt have the last say we should learn to rely on not just our own resilience but let us put our faith in the one who can erase all fears, lighten our unclear path and give us the strength to over come any obstacle that may prevent us from reaching our full potential.
