“When I’m in turmoil, when I can’t think, when I’m exhausted and afraid and feeling very, very alone, I go for walks. It’s just one of those things I do.” ― Jim Butcher,
According to the dictionary turmoil is the state of commotion, confusion, disorder, uncertainty or great anxiety. Mental turmoil is caused by difficult decisions.
We all go through some form of turmoil at some point in our life, whether its professional, personal or a mixer of both. How we cope with this is what defines us in the end, we can either choose to let it control us or we can establish coping mechanisms. Prayer is a good place to start, having a friendly ear is also good and of course walking or playing sports might work for some.
Whatever way you choose to deal with turmoil in your life is your decision, just don’t allow it to consume you.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
