To err is human, to forgive is divine – Alexander Pope

Why is it hard to forgive others?

Usually because we believe that they are the ones to blame for the problem, that I am not as bad as they are.  the longer we hold on to our anger or pain the more we can play the victim; ‘Woe is me’, Life is so not fair’.

What we do not seem to  realise is that we cause more harm than good, not just to those who have wronged us but to ourselves.  The sooner you can forgive pass grievances and step into the future without dragging said grievances into it; then the sooner everyone can start to heal.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:13  that we are to “Bear with each other and forgive one another, if any of you has a grievance against someone.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
