Why A Still Tongue Keeps A Level Head

Today’s topic is geared at reminding us all that we should always strive to be the diligent in our thought and in our speaking:

1. Think before we speak and not just utter whatever pops into our mind at the time. Remember, words cannot be taken back when already spoken and no matter how sorry you are, the person’s feelings have already been hurt.

2. Choose your words wisely.  Unless you are trying to burn bridges, temper your words with kindness and understanding so that the person being spoken to does not become offended by you being cruel.

3. Listen to what is being said and make sure you understand before replying.  If you are not sure ask for clarification, no sense in speaking out of context because you thought something was implied.

My son, keep well thy tongue, and keep thy friend. A wicked tongue is worse than a fiend; My son, from a fiend men may them bless. My son, God of his endless goodness Walled a tongue with teeth and lips .png

Wise men are not alwayssilent but they know when to to be.

Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can only be forgiven not forgotten.

Before you say something. Stop and think how you would feel if someone said the same thing to you.

just a thought not 2!
